Winter Break at LSN

While the lack of snow may tell some otherwise, winter break is just around the corner. LSR7’s winter break starts on December 22nd as soon as the school bell rings. Cassidy Montgomery, senior, is looking forward to the much needed break.
“I like having extra time to spend with my friends and family during the holiday season. I also like not having to worry about schoolwork and having more free time,” Montgomery said.
Even though there is a little chance of snow over break, if by some chance a snowstorm settles over Lees Summit, Montgomery will most likely be found inside her house by the fire with a cup of coffee watching the snowfall.
Montgomery is staying home this winter break, but she would enjoy taking a trip to see the rest of her family if given the chance.
“I am not going anywhere for break, if I could go anywhere I’d go to Tennessee to see the rest of my family,” Montgomery said.
As classes come to an end it will be a welcomed change for Montgomery to go from long days at school to days spent watching movies such as Elf, or A Christmas Story this holiday season.
