Another New Club: Boys Volleyball

Last week during Bronco Time, multiple boys went to Coach Hoffman to get information about a brand new club North is starting. This new club is the Boy’s Volleyball Club which, up until now, had only been a thought that the school one day wanted to do. In the past, boys had asked about it and in the area there are places popping up everywhere that have a boys team.

“There had been boys in years past asking about it and there are now some schools around our area putting teams together that we can play against,” Hoffman said.

Some of the schools around here that also have teams are Lee’s Summit West, Blue Springs South, and Heritage Christian. These schools have one or two teams that North would be able to go up against. The team is open for anyone and playing provides scholarship opportunities. Unlike MSHSAA sports here at North, it is less intense with there being less games and practices. It is still just as competitive though, and boys involved in the club get very similar benefits and expectations they have to meet. Hoffman wants people to have the opportunity to be involved in something if they want to try something new.

“I think it is important to give each student the opportunity to try something new or play something different if they want to,” Hoffman said.

In the end, Lee’s Summit North is very happy to announce this new club and everything it will offer and bring.
