Dr. Graff – New Assistant Principal

Story by Lily Temple- Assitant Editor

After teaching math at Lee’s Summit North for 20 years, Sarah Graff is now becoming part of the administration staff by filling one of the new assistant principal positions.

“I am looking forward to learning a new role under the leadership of Dr. Collins. I feel honored to have been selected,” Graff said.

She has been working towards this goal slowly for many years. She finished her degree in 2010 but continued teaching because she wasn’t ready to leave the classroom yet. This new position for her is bittersweet.

“I am going to miss both teaching and coaching immensely. I love coaching tennis because our athletes are the best and so much fun. I am hopeful Mr. McGurk will let me supervise tennis matches next year so I can still see all my favorite people,” Graff said.

Graff will be missed on both the tennis court and in the classroom. She has contributed to LSN in many ways over the years and she is excited to do so in a new way.

“I am most looking forward to the opportunity to serve our amazing staff and students. I want our teachers to know they are supported and valued every day,” Graff said.

Staff and students are excited to see Graff pursue this new position and to see where her future in administration takes her.
