Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a group that helps prepare children to have a better future. FBLA has been helping students achieve their goals since 1937.

FBLA helps high school and middle school students prepare for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs.

Abigail Webster is a junior who wants to have the best future. Webster has been in FBLA for multiple years.

“I believe that the skills from FBLA will be useful in my future education and later on into my future career,” Webster said.

“I also believe that FBLA can help me achieve a better understanding of the business world around me,” Webster said.

Layne Funk is one of the sponsors for FBLA. Funk also teaches Business and Computers at LSN.

When asked why Funk sponsors FBLA Funk said, “To teach the vital, life skills every teenager needs to learn, also called soft skills or the ‘intangibles’.”

FBLA has helped many businessmen and women succeed, such as Jeffrey Bezos. Bezos was in FBLA when he was in high school and he is now the richest man in the world.
