Surviving LSNs 1st Semester Finals

As this semester comes to an end, most students are starting to prepare for finals, and some are simply excited for Christmas break. This year’s finals will be on Dec. 20, 21, and 22, with an early release before the 16-day break. Finals week can be very stress-inducing, so there are many resources to help students prepare. For about eight years, Lee’s Summit North has offered Final Survival Kits to help relieve some of the stress.

“We hope it is a fun treat to lift their spirits before they start on their finals. A chance for people to cheer them on,” Katie Wilson, marketing teacher, said.

A sharpened pencil, a pen, a water bottle, a flavored drink packet, chips, pretzels, a fidget toy, a candy bar, a Pop-Tart, and a pack of gum. All of that is included in the standard survival kit for $10. There is also an option for students to add spirit wear in addition to the bag. Pricing will depend on your selections.

“I think it will help because it has materials that will prepare you for finals; it also can put you in a good mindset because it comes with rewarding treats,” Addie Lang, senior, said.

As you start diving into reviews and study guides, a Finals Survival Kit could help you stay on track and focused during this stressful time.
