Back in the student section

   One of the many differences between this school year and last is that this year, Lee’s Summit North once again has a student section at games. This was one of the things students were deprived of during the 2020-2021 school year. Sophomores, for example, had never been in the student section until this year.

   “I loved being in the student section. I could feel the happiness of everyone and everyone was really excited. There’s a big rush of energy,” Brooke Brown, sophomore, said.

   Being in the student section at football games is part of the high school experience that everyone wants to have. As a senior, it is many people’s goal to be a crimson crazy.

   “It has been fun being a crimson crazy so far into the fall sports season. Being able to have a student section is something we haven’t had in a few years. It is fun to see everyone come together and dress up to cheer on our athletes,” Payton Duncan, senior, said.

   Everyone is happy to be getting back to a somewhat normal school year. Having a student section at games is something that everyone should experience.

   “The best part about being in the student section is all of the hype and just being a part of it. It’s a good experience for high school,” Brown, said.

   This excitement for being back at games is not something specific to Lee’s Summit North students. Ask any student who attends football games or other sporting events if they are happy to be back in the student section and there is a pretty good chance they will say yes.
